Woody’s Wheel Works, Colorado Roughly 1,000-killer-miles straight from Death Valley to Denver, we worked our cockadoodle guts to get there. But then our friend Woody is like L’Oreal, he’s worth it. A guy that can only be described with any real accuracy as Jack Nicolson meets Father Christmas. But first, it was a challenging test […]
Ancient beings in the Bristlecone Pine Forest, California In early April, when Death Valley had finally, finally started to lose some of its gleam, we jumped back on the road. And an hour’s scoot to the east of Bishop, up the road from Big Pine, arrived at the Bristlecone Pine Forest nestled in the White […]
Las Vegas Packed up once again at our Arizonan base in Prescott, the rolling dice until sunrise awaited. Vegas, baby. I could only imagine the indulgent sights that lay in store smack dab in Nevada’s Mojave Desert. Sure of myself that its focal point, the Strip, would be akin to Blackpool, my hometown but on […]
“I really don’t want to go,” and pouted as I tried to internalize an unnecessary degree of petulance. Dispensing our warm goodbyes to biking friends in Borrego Springs, we saddled up and I reluctantly turned the key in the ignition. After multiple postponed departures, that is. A heavy sigh betrayed a sadness in parting from […]
With our fill of summertime southeast Alaska, we kicked the side stands up in the lush temperate beauty that had surrounded us for the best part of the whale season, the wonder of things both small and huge: the colour of a wildflower that brushed against me on the trail, or the grand sweep of […]
Yup. It’s been a while. Stark raving mad-as-a-box-of-frogs, the radio silence is o-v-e-r. “Delighted” is a weak term; I’m finally able to relieve the itchy feet as we hit the road again. From late summer last year right through to the onset of spring based in Alberta’s Narnia, this summer found us back in Southeast […]
“And then there is the most dangerous risk of all -- the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.”

I find immense joy in diving and embarking on epic through-hikes for those awe-inspiring views. However, my love for off-road motorcycle riding is just as profound. As a champion for female riders in a rapidly growing market, I may not have been born with natural riding skills. Still, I am living proof that you can obtain your license, hop on two wheels, and venture anywhere near or far. It’s incredibly empowering.
The allure of the outdoors is just as strong as my passion for writing about it. Like Jason, I need a creative outlet that resonates deeply, and I am grateful that my words keep the fuel flowing. My side hustles on the trails are complemented by rewarding collaborations and partnerships in the world of gear. Together, they propel me on this exhilarating path.

Jason is an avid adventurer, drawn to the exhilaration of off-road journeys that lead to the hard-to-reach, hidden destinations. For him, the perfect ending to a day on the road is pitching a sleeping bag next to a crackling campfire, surrounded by untamed wilderness.
With an infatuation for vast open spaces and capturing the essence of light, photography has been his insatiable passion since the age of 14. Evolving his globally published portfolio in adventure travel, landscape, wildlife, and underwater photography, Jason is not only a talented photographer but a drone pilot and videographer, too.
