THE HOME OF
FOUR WHEELED NOMAD
Tiny home, big backyard
There is nothing more criminal than waste, and there’s nothing worse than wasting time. With that at the forefront, Norway was soon wrapped up in a calming night at Kannesteinen Rock. Followed by a warm reunion on the Atlantic Ocean Road with dear biking friends, Mel and Greg. After which, we reached our trip’s first […]
Hike # 1: Kjeragbolten – The Bolt You can’t go to Norway and not yomp the hills, much less pass up on Kjeragbolten. It’d be like going to Mount Rushmore and saying, “Oh, we didn’t bother with the big carved mountainside thing. We just had a look in the gift shop.” Kjeragbolten (also known as […]
The Mega Transect proper Backing out of my mum’s driveway in Dorking was nowhere near the heart-thumping-in-my-throat, tear-jerker as it was on our motorcycles, destined for the Americas in 2014. Sliding back into the reclinable passenger seat – coffee cup holder on my left, Jase on my right – a heartfelt goodbye was exchanged before […]
A practice run for Cape to Cape Etive Road, Glencoe Time started to slow as we sunk into the Scottish Highlands. Easing our way back into a life on the road, Etive Road near Glencoe pinpointed a trusty camping spot in the area. Studying me for a while, as if I was an artwork with […]
The Mega Transect expedition: build-out continued Water and Gas A 10-gallon (45-litre) water tank (Front Runner Outfitters), a 4.5-gallon (20-litre) water-purifying jerry can (LifeSaver), for when we are unsure about the purity of our water source. Plus 2.85-gallon (3.9-kilogram) gas bottle for our two ring burner. Refrigeration While our previous means of a fridge […]
The Mega Transect expedition: build-out continued Drawer, slide and cabinet system A British custom-designed drawer system, gearslide and cabinet solution (Gearmate), has revolutionised our load space. All lockable, the drawers offer up to 330-pounds’ (150-kilograms) load capacity and incredibly, extend 100 per cent, which brings our gear – separated by dividers and on a gripped […]
“And then there is the most dangerous risk of all -- the risk of spending your life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.”

I find immense joy in diving and embarking on epic through-hikes for those awe-inspiring views. However, my love for off-road motorcycle riding is just as profound. As a champion for female riders in a rapidly growing market, I may not have been born with natural riding skills. Still, I am living proof that you can obtain your license, hop on two wheels, and venture anywhere near or far. It’s incredibly empowering.
The allure of the outdoors is just as strong as my passion for writing about it. Like Jason, I need a creative outlet that resonates deeply, and I am grateful that my words keep the fuel flowing. My side hustles on the trails are complemented by rewarding collaborations and partnerships in the world of gear. Together, they propel me on this exhilarating path.

Jason is an avid adventurer, drawn to the exhilaration of off-road journeys that lead to the hard-to-reach, hidden destinations. For him, the perfect ending to a day on the road is pitching a sleeping bag next to a crackling campfire, surrounded by untamed wilderness.
With an infatuation for vast open spaces and capturing the essence of light, photography has been his insatiable passion since the age of 14. Evolving his globally published portfolio in adventure travel, landscape, wildlife, and underwater photography, Jason is not only a talented photographer but a drone pilot and videographer, too.
